Miley Cyrus has made a startling confession about her sex life. In an interview with Barstool Sports’ “Call Her Daddy” podcast Miley admits that she lost her virginity to future husband Liam Hemsworth, but lied to him about it.
“I didn’t go all the way with a dude [until] I was 16,” she shared, noting. “But I ended up marrying the guy, so that’s pretty crazy.” Miley says she didn’t want to seem like a “loser” so she didn’t tell Liam he was her first.
“I couldn’t think of anyone so I just made somebody up that I knew but we’d never actually had sex before,” she said. “[Hemsworth’s] friend ended up marrying him, so then he was like, ‘Now my friend is marrying someone you’ve hooked up with.’ So then ― when I was like 24 ― I had to say that I lied when I was 16.”
She adds, “it was a lie that I held on to” for almost 10 years.

- In the same interview, Miley opened up about her split from Liam. “I had a very public, very big breakup that was over a 10-year span of a relationship…” she said. “It’s like a death when you lose a love that deep. It feels like a death.” She added, “Honestly, sometimes [death] even feels easier because [with a breakup] the person is still walking on the earth,.”
- She shares that she was attracted to girls way before she was attracted to boys, noting, “I was like 11 or 12, my friends were starting to tell me what they were doing with guys and I didn’t really understand it ― so I got most of my girlfriends to hook up with me,” adding, “The first time I ever hooked up with anyone was with a girl — two of them.”
- As for how Liam feels about his ex, apparently his feelings aren’t exactly positive. “Liam kind of has a low opinion of Miley at this point,” a source tells Us Weekly. “He was really hurt by their split.” The insider adds, “Miley and Liam haven’t talked much since their divorce. Liam was hurt by Miley moving on with new love interests shortly after they broke up.”
- Miley also talked about the whole #FreeBritney movement and basically she didn’t really share an opinion about Britney Spears’ life. “I think, you know, from a public’s point of view, it would be really hard to kind of relate, and because I don’t personally know Britney that well, I feel like I’m just another public speculator,” she shared. “And I always kind of check myself too… is this my place? Am I just sitting from the outside, thinking that I know details I don’t know, just kind of like I complain how the public does to me?”
- At a past concert Miley screamed out Free Britney, and she admits “I scream a lot of things at my show,” adding, “I also think Britney, like anyone else, should have the freedom to live the life that’s most authentic to her.”
