Needing a win to secure a double bye in the Big Ten Conference Tournament, Nebraska men’s basketball showed up.

The Huskers (22-9, 12-8 Big Ten) handled business at Michigan (8-23, 3-17 Big Ten) 85-70 Sunday afternoon. The win guarantees Nebraska a spot in the conference tournament quarterfinals on Friday.

Keisei Tominaga had 23 first-half points, on 9-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range as he went over 1,000 career points at Nebraska. He finished with 30 points on the day.

Josiah Allick had 15 points, while Rienk Mast and Brice Williams added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Nebraska closes the regular-season with a third-place finish in the league. That matches NU’s best conference finish since 1992-93.

NU will begin its conference tournament run Friday evening at approximately 8 p.m. CST.
