A Nebraska star volleyball player plead no contest to DUI charges on Monday in Lancaster County Court.

On April 5, 2024, #27 Harper Murray was pulled over around 12:45 a.m. after Lincoln Police observed her vehicle break several traffic laws. LPD suspected the 19-year-old player was driving under the influence, and registered her blood-alcohol-content (BAC) at 0.169, more than two times the legal limit.

Police say Murray was also found to be in possession of a fake ID and did not comply with several officer directives during the investigation.

In exchange for Murray’s no-contest plea to DUI, prosecutors dropped charges of careless driving and having a fictitious license.

The judge scheduled Murray’s sentencing for July 22.

While this incident nears its resolution, Murray is also facing a misdemeanor shoplifting charge stemming from an incident at the Scheels Sporting Goods store on May 2.
