A dominant second half capped by a 16-0 run helped No. 25 Nebraska overcome cold first half shooting to defeat Lindenwood, 69-48, Tuesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Britt Prince led the Huskers’ scoring with 14 points, including 11 in the second half. Alexis Markowski notched her third straight double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Callin Hake tallied 12 points and six rebounds.

Early on, the Huskers struggled to score, especially from the outside. NU was 1-for-10 from behind the arc, while the Lions drained 6-of-13 three-pointers before halftime to build a 30-27 lead over Nebraska in the first half. But the second half was all Huskers, as NU outscored Lindenwood 42-18 after halftime to take control of the game. Nebraska’s defense cranked up on the Lions perimeter shooting, holding LU to just 1-for-12 shooting from three-point range. Meanwhile, after starting slowly in shooting from the outside, the Huskers knocked down 5-of-12 threes in the second half. Nebraska ended the game by scoring the last 16 points while holding Lindenwood scoreless for nearly six minutes.

Nebraska will now sample Big Ten play, as the Huskers will face Minnesota at 1 p.m. Sunday at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Pregame coverage begins at 12:30 on B-107.3.
