Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson withdrew his name for the transfer portal and announced he will return to NU for his junior season Sunday night.
After starting the season as one of four co-starters at running back, Johnson emerged as the starter as the season went on. He ended the year as the Huskers’ starter. He was second on the team with 523 rushing yards on 101 attempts, averaging just over five yards a carry. Johnson also had 35 catches for 262 yards. Johnson entered the transfer portal earlier this week, but withdrew his name.
The Huskers were selected for the Pinstripe Bowl, where they’ll face Boston College Dec. 28.
