Nebraska junior pitcher Mason McConnaughey was named a third-team preseason All-American by D1Baseball.com. McConnaughey is looking to build off last year’s second-team All-Big Ten campaign, where he went 9-3 with a 3.45 ERA in 17 games, including 11 starts. McConnaughey is the fifth NU pitcher in school history to return after a 90-plus strikeout season, joining Bob Sebra, Troy Brohawn, Shane Komine, and Joba Chamberlain.
