Three runs in the bottom of the seventh were the difference as UCLA beat Nebraska, 5-2, Friday in Los Angeles, Calif. The loss drops the Cornhuskers (7-9) to 1-3 in Big Ten play.

With the game tied at two starting the bottom of the seventh, Cameron Kim led off the inning with a single, then moved to second on an error. Cashel Duggar reached on a walk, and a sacrifice bunt by Phoenix Call moved Kim to third and Duggar to second. After a walk to Dean West loaded the bases, AJ Salgado came on to run for Kim at third. A Roch Cholowsky sacrifice fly drove in Salgado to give the Bruins the lead. Mulivai Levu singled to score Duggar, and a wild pitch scored West to build the lead to 5-2.

UCLA ran out to a 2-0 lead after scoring in the first and third innings. A two-run home run by Tyler Stone in the sixth tied the game before the Bruins rallied in the seventh.

Ian May (3-1) earned the win out of the bullpen for UCLA, allowing no runs and one hit through 1.2 innings pitched. Nebraska starter Will Walsh (2-3) took the loss, allowing four earned runs in 6.1 innings pitched.

Stone led the Huskers’ offense, going 2-for-4 with a double and a home run. Payton Brennan and Kim had two hits each to lead the Bruins.
