The Nebraska volleyball team announced Tuesday that it will be participating in Spikes Under the Lights, a one-day, exhibition event with a $1 million purse to be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The entire event will be played on Thursday, Aug. 27. Match start times and television broadcast plans are to be announced, but the matches will be broadcasted on B-107.3.
The Cornhuskers, SMU, Penn State and Florida will play in a four-team tournament with all the matches being best-of-three. The teams will play in two semifinal matches, with the winners squaring off in a championship match. Each team will receive $200,000 each, with the championship team receiving an additional $200,000. Tickets go on sale to the general public on May 8.
