Former Nebraska running back Ahman Green announced Thursday that he has Parkinson’s disease. Green says he was diagnosed with early onset of the disease in January 2025.
Green starred at running back for the Cornhuskers, winning two national championships in his three years at Nebraska. After rushing for 1,086 yards and 13 touchdowns as a freshman in 1995, Green scored 22 touchdowns and ran for 1,877 yards in 1997, before declaring for the NFL Draft. Green then went onto a 12-year NFL career, in which he became the Packers’ all-time leading rusher. For Green Bay, he piled up 8,322 yards and earned four Pro Bowl selections from 2000 to 2006. He also played for the Seahawks and Texans.
