Trump calls on Smithsonian to erect a ‘colossus statue’ of George Washington, ‘instead of focusing on ideological activism’

President Donald Trump called upon the Smithsonian Institution to replace an existing modern art piece with a 30-foot-tall statue of President George Washington outside of the National Museum of American History (NMAH) in Washington, D.C., and open an exhibit in Washington’s honor.
