There won’t be a season-ending sweep for Nebraska baseball.

The Huskers jumped out 3-0 before giving up seven runs in the middle third of the game to lose 7-3 at Purdue. The win keeps the Boilermakers in the hunt for a Big Ten Tournament spot.

Jace Kaminska’s 4.1 innings to start allowed just a pair of runs on five hits with seven strikeouts. When Will Walsh came in during the fifth inning, the wheels came off. Walsh allowed five runs, all earned, in just 1.2 innings to take the loss.

Nebraska posted nine hits on the day, including 2-for-4 efforts from Charlie Fischer and Dylan Carey.

The series wraps up at 1 p.m. CDT Saturday.
