The run continues for Nebraska women’s basketball.

The No. 5 seed Huskers (21-10) beat the No. 4 seed Michigan State 73-61 in the Big Ten Conference Tournament Quarterfinals Friday afternoon. NU will face the No. 8 seed Maryland in the semifinals Saturday, after the Terrapins upended top seed Ohio State 82-61.

Alexis Markowski led the Big Red attack with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Jaz Shelley (17), Natalie Potts (15), and Logan Nissley (11) also scored in double figures.

Potts added 11 rebounds for her own double-double.

Saturday’s semifinal is set for a 1 p.m. CST tip.
