Jacob Blake is the latest Black man to be shot by police. The 29-year-old father of six was shot multiple times in Kenosha, Wisconsin with three of his children in the car. He’s currently paralyzed from the waist down.
Kevin Hart, Chelsea Handler, and Demi Lovato are among the A-listers speaking out about the situation. “Another Black man shot multiple times by police officers,” Kevin tweeted. “It’s shoot first & detain second in these streets. Chelsea added, “Allyship isn’t a social media trend. Black people have been tirelessly fighting for centuries, and whatever little progress you thought we made recently carries no weight when you see what continues to happen to Black people.”
