Brice Williams led Nebraska with 30 points as the Huskers defeated Indiana, 85-67, Friday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The win evened the Cornhuskers conference record at 1-1 and continued a recent run of success at home for NU in which the Huskers haven’t lost at PBA since Dec. 3, 2023, over a year ago. Nebraska has now won its last 18 home games, including its last 11 Big Ten home games.

Williams drove NU to victory, shooting 10-for-15 overall and 8-for-11 from the free-throw line. Juwan Gary added 14 points while, off the bench, Connor Essegian tallied 13 points and Andrew Morgan contributed 10.

The Huskers outshot Indiana, 61 percent to 35 percent. NU’s shooting edge was even more pronounced from behind the arc, where it hit 57 percent (8-for-14), while IU hit a meager 23 percent (8-for-35). Nebraska owned the paint, outscoring the Hoosiers in the lane, 36-24.

Nebraska held a 44-41 lead at half and pulled away in the second half, finishing the game on a 17-1 run.

The Huskers now prepare for the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii. Nebraska will open play Sunday, Dec. 22 against Murray State. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m., with pregame at 7 p.m. on the 22nd on KLIN.
