The nominations are in for the 52nd annual NAACP Image Awards are in. The kudofest celebrates the accomplishments of Black, Indigenous, and artists of color across TV, film, music, and literature.
Netflix took the lead with 51 nods for titles across TV and film including “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” “Bridgerton,” and “Da 5 Bloods.” Chadwick Boseman was posthumously honored with two – an outstanding actor for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” and outstanding supporting actor for “Da 5 Bloods.”
DJ D-Nice, Regina King, Viola Davis, Trevor Noah, and Tyler Perry are up for the Entertainer of the Year honor. Also, the newly minted Social Impact honor could go to either April Ryan, Debbie Allen, LeBron James, Stacey Abrams, or Tamika Mallory.
