For the first time since both schools joined the Big Ten, Rutgers (1-7) took a set from No. 4 Nebraska (6-0).

That 25-22 win for the Scarlet Knights would prove the only success on the afternoon, as the Huskers took the next three sets 25-14, 14, 20 to take the match 3-1.

Lauren Stivrins and Lexi Sun each had 15 kills for the match. Stivrins added a career-high 11 blocks while Sun notched 11 digs and a season-best five blocks.

Madi Kubick (14 kills, 16 digs, and three blocks) and Jazz Sweet (eight kills, .429 hitting) both played well. Kenzie Knuckles had a season-best 20 digs.

Nicklin Hames aided the offense with 49 assists.

Nebraska hosts No. 5 Minnesota next weekend.
