Game seven in 12 days, and the second game of a back to back, after returning from a COVID-19 protocol pause on all team activities saw fatigue in full effect Wednesday.

Nebraska (5-14, 1-11 Big Ten) fell behind by more than 20 multiple times in the second half to Maryland (13-10, 7-9 Big Ten). Being on the wrong ends of scoring droughts or runs is nothing new for the Huskers this season, but tired legs from a never-before-dealt-with situation did not help.

A late run of 11 straight points by Teddy Allen cut the deficit to 10, but Nebraska never truly threatened as Maryland cruised to the 79-71 win.

Allen led the Huskers with 25 points. Lat Mayen added 13 points while Dalano Banton pitched in 11.

Nebraska returns home to host Purdue Saturday.
