Another sweep for Nebraska volleyball.

The No. 3 team in the land downed Northwestern 25-23, 16, 18 Sunday at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. It was the ninth straight sweep by the red team in the battle of NUs.

A balanced attack saw five Huskers record at least six kills, led by Madi Kubik and Bekka Allick each notching nine. Allick also hit a match-high .571 as Nebraska outhit Northwestern .296-.195.

Nicklin Hames continued her return to action by handing out a team-high 23 assists. Playing in the 6-2, Anni Evans had 16 assists.

Kaitlyn Hord led the team with five blocks.

The win improves Nebraska’s record to 16-1 on the season. NU remains perfect at 8-0 in Big Ten play.

The Huskers head back on the road Wednesday to take on No. 9 Purdue.
