Omaha Back to School Backpack Program
Summer is in full swing, but back-to-school season is around the corner! Starting July 1, help local kids gear up for success through the Salvation Army 7 Can Help Kids Backpack Program.
Since 1998, the community has come together to donate more than 250,000 backpacks filled with school supplies for children in need.
From July 1 to August 3, drop off new school supplies at participating Methodist Health System and Metro Credit Union locations, Cubby’s Convenience Stores, or Salvation Army sites.
School supplies needed:
- Backpacks

- Spiral notebooks
- Erasers
- Glue
- Crayons
- Colored pencils
- Theme paper
- Two-pocket folders
- Pens
- Pencils
- Reusable water bottles
- Hand sanitizer
- Tissues
