Britney Spears has made it clear she doesn’t want her father controlling her anymore. In new court documents, Britney’s court-appointed lawyer insists she’s “strongly opposed” to Jamie Spears “return as conservator of her person.”
Since last Fall, Britney’s conservatorship has been temporarily controlled by Jodi Montgomery, and in the docs Britney’s lawyer says she “strongly prefers” to keep Jodi in that position permanently.
Britney’s dad has been controlling her business affairs by himself since 2019, and the singer’s lawyer says she no longer wants him to be the only one in charge. She instead is asking for a “qualified corporate fiduciary” to be in charge of her estate.
- And don’t expect to see Britney return to performing anytime soon. The court docs say she has no interest in performing at this time. A hearing on her conservatorship is set for today.
